School Uniform Policy
The PPS uniform is designed to provide a neat and modest dress for our students. Parents are encouraged to sew or write their child’s name on the inside of all uniform items so the office staff can return them to the rightful owner. It is mandatory that all students conform to the following Prichard Preparatory School Uniform Policy:
PRe-K Girls
Plaid Jumper (Plaid #37); no skorts
Red Sweater with PPS Logo
White Blouse with Peter Pan Collar (long or short sleeves)
White socks
White tights
Solid Black Uniform Shoe with Velcro or “button slide” closure; no shoestrings - see example
Cross tie (Plaid #37) - optional
K-5th grade girls
Navy Blue Blazer with PPS Logo
Red Sweater with PPS Logo (optional)
Plaid (#37) Jumper (Style #162)
White Blouse with Peter Pan Collar (white undershirts only)

Black Uniform Shoes, black/white saddle oxfords, - Uniform shoes are to be clean, in good repair and worn properly; no tennis shoes - See example
Headbands, Scrunches, or Hair Ribbons - solid red, white, navy blue or plaid #37
Girls may wear navy blue shorts under their jumpers.
Prichard Prep girls should wear their hair neat, well groomed, and off the face. Radical hairstyles, including but not limited to unusual colors, spikes, tails, and shaves are not allowed at PPS. Hairstyles should never be a distraction in the classroom.
A quarter size or smaller pair of earrings (1 per earlobe) may be worn.
One religious symbol necklace may be worn on a fine, jewelry chain. A watch may be worn as well as one ring per hand.
Wearing jewelry of any kind to school is discouraged since it is a hazard during physical education class and is easily lost.
Tattoos are not allowed.
Make-up is not allowed.

Navy uniform pants (elastic waist only); navy shorts may be worn in warmer months; no belt required

Prichard Prep boys must wear their hair cut above the eyebrows, above the ears, and no longer than 1” below the natural hairline at the back of the neck (above the collar). Mohawks are permitted if they are no higher than one inch; shaves/fades are allowed if there are no designs. Radical hairstyles, including but not limited to unusual colors, spikes, tails are not allowed. Hairstyles should never be a distraction in the classroom.
Boys are not permitted to wear earrings.
One religious symbol necklace may be worn on a fine jewelry chain.
One watch may be worn.
Tattoos are not allowed.
Boys may not wear make-up of any kind.
